VITICULTURE
Own root Barossa Valley Grenache from over 50 year old vines. Each year, this single vineyard receives special attention.
Traditional hand pruning methods are applied, the fruit is hand harvested at what is considered to be optimal ripeness and flavour in accordance to terroir, soil type and micro climate.
VINIFICATION
Crushed and destemmed into open fermenters, with fermentation controlled at 25°C. This developing wine is pumped over each day. Free run is removed from the skins and the must is gently pressed via basket press. Aged in seasoned French oak barrels prior to malolactic conversion bottling.
MATURATION
8 months in seasoned French oak puncheons.
VINTAGE REPORT
The 2024 Barossa Vintage was a low yielding yet high-quality year. Below-average rainfall in winter, cooler than average temperatures and timely December and January rains let to excellent fruit concentration. Wines from vintage 2024 are vibrant in colour, complex with firm tannins.
